Do you have a horrible boss? Do you feel like you want to strangle your boss – more than once? Well then, you’ve got something in common with these three guys – Dale, Kurt and Nick.
But I guess even if you don’t have a mean boss you can still relate to these guys. The thing you’ve got to remember is “everyone’s got a limit”, so don’t cross that line or risk having something explode in your face. Most of the time, when you’re being kind, you will be rewarded so much more than when you’re being mean.
Oh, and it’s also not cool to laugh at someone who calls their grandma “Gam Gam”.
If you’re in for some laughs (like I was), then you’ll enjoy the movie. There were some scenes that was a bit dry for more than the tolerable period but there were also some really funny moments. The downside of watching this in Malaysian cinemas? A lot of censored words that would’ve contributed more to the “funny factor”. Weird that they didn’t censor the half-naked sexy lingerie scenes but they went and censor words instead.
Meet Dave Harken, the boss straight from hell. He’s the best (or worst) out of the bunch. Honestly, I do believe there are these kinda bosses out there who just squeezes everything out of you but will never give anything back to you.
Meet Bobby Pellitt, the nuthead who is far from his wonderful (died-too-soon) father. All he does is women, coke and spend money. But the best thing is seeing the usually steamy bad boy Colin Farrell turn into the pot-bellied nearly-bald Bobby.
Meet Dr. Julia Harris, D.D.S., a nymphomaniac who can’t stop sexually harassing her assistant. Though most men might jump at the opportunity of sex with this woman, Dale is the kinda guy who’s loyal to his one and only fiancee. I should get myself a fiance like Dale too!
Anyways, you may check out this movie at the cinema or, if you prefer a non-censored version of the movie, get the DVD once it’s out. A big thank you to Nuffnang for the screening invite!
Horrible Bosses will be out in Malaysian cinemas by 11th August 2011.
