IMVAF 2020 will be promoting Positive Messages and World Peace through filming, music creation and performing arts. Artists must promote the 3Ps which are “we Protect humanity”, “we give Positive approach” and “we Provide edutainment”.

Creative artists who are interested to join can create videos in three different languages: English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin (with English subtitles where necessary).

Creative videos are not only open to Malaysians but also to Chinese (PRC). As long as the video showcases the relationship between Malaysia and China (in terms of history, culture, social, economy and many other subjects that enhances the “bilateral” relationship between the countries), or create awareness for Social Causes (such as child abduction, sexual exploitation, modern day slavery, forced marriages and etc), or promote other Positive Moral Values (such as filial piety, patriotism, ecocentrism and etc).

IMVAF 2020 is opened for 3 categories, which are:

  • Youth & Students Category
  • Open Category – Hobbyist & Semi-professionals
  • Professional Corporate Category

Besides the Music Video Awards, IMVAF 2020 will at the same time organise a fashion show by showcasing Malaysian and International cultural collections. Mr. Ho Kok Loong, Fashion Designer of The Mod House who was also at the event believes that IMVAF is a great platform for local and international designers to express and share their culture to different audience.

Prof Dato Dr Jayles Yeoh, President of ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation (ARFF) believes that IMVAF 2020 would encourage Small Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to promote their businesses through music videos which has been done by other countries like Korea, Japan and USA.
